Heavy rains from the remnants of Hurricane Dolly pounded Ruidoso the weekend of July 25-27, 2008. Most of Ruidoso was not affected, but there were many homes, campers, mobile homes and structures along the Rio Ruidoso River that were damaged or destroyed by the floodwaters. The city has recovered, but there are numerous local and national relief agencies on-site for the displaced residents. Volunteers and donations are needed. Here are several ways you can help:

Gateway Disaster Relief Team

The Gateway Disaster Relief Team is accepting cash donations for the Flood Victims of the area.

Please make checks payable to: Christian Services and mark them Flood Victims.

All donations are divided equally among the registered Flood Victims. There are no administrative costs involved.

This fund will close Monday, Aug. 11.
